On Friday Fordell School had it's first house challenge of the term. For the challenge Ian made some huge shields, one for each house. These shields were our house shields, and the houses, Kowhai, Miro and Tawa, had to decorate them in a way that expresses what their house is like and what it means to them.
Kowhai had a huge sun with the word Kowhai written in, broken up CD's, and a Kowhai tree. It also had the Fordell School logo over all of the houses faces and a brick wall with the school values written in graffiti.
Miro had windows opening up to the values and the Fordell School Logo. They had hands all around their shield. They also had tall poppies and the miro berry on it.
Tawa had the word Tawa written with sparkles and feathers, they had hands all around their shield, and the letter T written with all the faces of Tawa in it. There was also
a smiley face, flowers and Tawa's house chant.
All the houses did a great job but KOWHAI won! Congratulations Kowhai.
